I did A level art ..... then life took over and I only rediscovered painting about 12 years ago, when my daughter did A level art!
I experimented with various media, and at the start of lockdown discoverd soft pastels. Finally, just as I entered retirement, I had found my medium.
I am largely self taught with pastel; although books, magazines and U tube vidoes have all played their part. I experiment with varying techniques, pastel types and painting surfaces, and don't feel I have yet settled on a particular style. I continue to develop and improve with each new painting, although quite a few are still thrown away in exasperation at my failure to capture what I Intended.
Most of my work is landscape. and I try to express light, colour and mood in my paintings.
I work from my home in Malvern and look forward to welcoming you during Open Studios.
