About Worcestershire Open Studios

Worcestershire Open Studios was founded in 2015 and is the largest free art event in the county.

The event goes beyond a traditional art exhibition with a focus on meeting the artist or maker and learning about their process and craft. It showcases the creativity and passion of Worcestershire artists & makers and inspires visitors to get creative. It has become a well-loved free annual event for artists and visitors alike. Last year the event took place across ten days in August culminating in the Bank Holiday Weekend and received around 12,500 studio visits

Worcestershire Open Studios is a not for profit organisation and is run by three volunteer artists, Gemma Griffiths, Mary Brittain and Anna Cumming. The event was set up in 2015 by artists Sally Morgan and Richard Nicholls with Gillian Simpson joining a few years later, after 9 successful events, the founding team appointed new organisers who look forward to building on the fantastic foundations.

We’d like to thank our sponsors Bevere Gallery for their continued support since we started in 2015. Elmslie House in Malvern have kindly agreed to continue their sponsorship with us. Our thanks also go to all the participating artists, visitors, volunteers and supporters for contributing to make Worcestershire Open Studios such a worthwhile and enriching event.

There’s lot of exciting things happening with Worcestershire Open Studios, if you’d like to keep up to date with what we’re doing please sign up to our email news updates to be kept informed, and follow us on social media.

Please take the time to have a good browse of all the artist and makers in the 'Artist Profiles' and thank you for your support.
